Why 150x150 for album art?

I was wondering why you use 150x150 for album art.

I can see it being good for embeded because it's only 7-8k, but I was curious why 150x150. Is that a standard for portable devices?

Also, why not put something like 500x500 in the main folder as folder.jpg.

Select AMG settings and choose a higher resolution.
