Help a Dunce - CDs not naming - just getting default file

I built a new machine and just recently downloaded and reinstalled file converter. I seem to remember when I tried this once before the converter recognized the CD name and song titles and filed the conversion that way. Now I just get stander band name generic file names and if I try to convert a 2 CD set it wants to overwrite the first set.

Help a dunce figure out what he did wrong.

What do you mean "standard band name generic file names"? Are you not getting meta-data from AMG or freedb?

As for the CD, check your naming scheme and make sure something like Disc [disc] is in there.

Sorry should have looked em up.

      Track01
      Track02

      Etc etc

Seems before it would put the volume and song names before. And also when you converted it would put them in directories per volume name

And yes Im not getting data from the services even though I have allow DB Power amp to connect to the internet checked

If you click the Meta button, does anything happen?

The disc is a pressed, purchased CD, correct?

What firewall or security software are you running? If you are running Kaspersky, see here for help: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showpost...83&postcount=5

No Meta Button (Db Music converter release 12).

CD is the most relaxing Jazz Piano music in the universe, pressed and purchased.
Windows media player brings it up fine.

You are using the CD Ripper to rip your CDs, correct?

              Nope

Using DB converter to convert them to WMA format so I can then rip the CD

Wait, your doing what? Why are you converting to WMA so you can then rip the CD?

Why don't you rip the CD directly using the CD ripper?

Well Ive got to get them off the CD first, they are in the Giant file format so I want to get them smaller so I can Rip a CD with several CDs on it, or load my MP3/Wav player so I wanted to save them to my HD as they convert and it used to put the CD name and song names now it doesnt.

Why don't you use the CD Ripper program to rip the tracks from the CD into any format you require (as long as you have the appropriate codec installed) and they will named at the same time. That's what it is designed (to be used) for.

Have you tried reading the help documentation installed as part of dMC r12? Though I must admit the CD Ripper documentation doesn't mention much about changing the encoder settings. all you need to do is change the Rip To option to output to mp3 etc.

The Music Converter app is usually used to process files that have already been ripped.
