    Can't convert to flac

    I get an error when I try to convert wave files to flac. For converting 24bit/88.2khz i get the following error:
    Error initializing FLAC encoder. [clEncoder::BeginConversion]

    This error started up quite randomly (quite a while ago, I haven't had time 'til now to deal with it though). I tried updating to dba R12.1 and the newest flac codec (including the one in beta) but nothing works. Any ideas?

    Additionally, I noticed I get a different error when I try to convert 32bit IEEE wave files. The error I get then is:
    Error FLAC accepts only PCM audio source. [clEncoder::BeginConversion]

    Are there plans for the flac codec to support this?

    Re: Can't convert to flac

    Try using the "Resample" DSP effect, located in the beta forum, to change the frequency to 44.1KHz and then try again.

    As for the 32-bit files, try the "Bit Depth" DSP effect to change the bits to 24 or 16 and then trying again.

      Flac cannot support floating point.
