Plextor DVDR PX 716A Goes missing!

After ripping a CD and after the CD is ejected, the device shows up missing(or rather disappears) from the computer. If I put in a new CD eventually it comes back but more often I need to do the "Find New Hardware" dialog. Has anyone else had this problem or have an idea how to fix it?

Click the Options button, scroll down to the "CD ROM" section, and try changing the "Communication" to "Windows Internal" and reboot your computer. Does this help?
