Problem- 8 character file trunication using "RUN EXTERNAL" Action

Im having a problem with 8 character file truncation when using the "RUN EXTERNAL" Action to allow an external program to access converted files after a conversion and passing the file name using "[outfile] " in the command line. Im fairly certain this is being caused by DBpowerAMP becase if I use a simple windows batch file to convert these wavs, it passes the full file name.

is there any way to prevent DBpowerAMP from doing this?

    thanks!

We pass the short filename, this allow uncode filenames to be accessed by non-unicode script programs.

"Pass Short Filename - this allow unicode filenames to be accessed by non-unicode script programs. "

      - sounds like a great variable option in the configuration for r13 :smile2:

      thanks
