Inaccurate rip with C2 and UDMA

    Hi,

Any more info on this one? I made a new thread because the old one (http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=12396) had a misleading subject.

    To summarize:

The drive is a Plextor PX-W1210A (aka PlexWriter 12/10/32A) in UDMA mode 2.
I don't have a dual core computer. The processor is an AMD Athlon XP 2700+

With C2 enabled I get AccurateRip failure confidence 6 and a green "i",
Without C2 I get AccurateRip success confidence 8
In burst mode I get the same as without C2

With the drive in PIO mode and C2 enabled AR verifies OK.

When ripping with PlexTools, C2 on and off produces two identical files.

When ripping with EAC and C2 enabled, AR verifies OK.

I'd be happy to provide any more information you might need.
dMC is a great ripper and I would love to be able to use all it's features!

    Regards,
    Peter

I have the exact same drive and c2 works fine on the drive (apart from it reverts to PIO within 10 minutes using the drive on a scratched cd, not a great drive).

Might be something to do with your IDE chipset.

I'd be curious to know if the behavior changes if you remove the drive from the PC IDE Controller and connect it, instead, via a Firewire or USB 2.0 bridge or enclosure.

Yes it does. I know it was mentioned that some enclosures/bridges will support C2 over USB/Firewire, but not all of them do.
