    OutputThisBlock Error while converting to WMA9 Voice

    Hi all

    I'm trying to convert some voice audio from a CD rip to WMA9 Voice. I've already converted the same source audio to MP3 with no problems.

    The file was originally in Audacity where I did some light editing. I then exported the file to FLAC and converted that to MP3 using dbpoweramp, that worked great. I then tried converting the audio to WMA9 and got this error:

    Code:
    Error converting to Windows Media Audio 10, 'R:\Work\VANFCOG\Sermon Audio\2007-03-18.flac' to 'R:\Work\VANFCOG\Sermon Audio\2007-03-18.wma'
       Error Compressing to WMA  [clEncoder::OutputThisBlock]
       md5 did not match decoded data, file is corrupt.
    Thinking it wasn't playing nice with the FLAC codec I tried using a wav export instead, but I get this error:

    Code:
    Error converting to Windows Media Audio 10, 'R:\Work\VANFCOG\Sermon Audio\2007-03-18.flac' to 'R:\Work\VANFCOG\Sermon Audio\2007-03-18.wma'
       Error Compressing to WMA  [clEncoder::OutputThisBlock]
    My WMA settings are as follows:
    Converting to: Windows Media Audio 10
    Codec: Windows Media Audio Voice 9
    20kbps | 22.05 kHz | mono

    Any help here would be great. Thanks!

    Can you convert to a normal WMA file?
    Since you could convert your FLAC files to mp3, it seems that your problem is in relation to the WMA voice codec.

        If I try to open dbpoweramp directly and then open the wav file and try to convert it, it will produce a 5kb wma instantly. I hit finish and then I get an "application error":

        Code:
        The instruction at "0x7c910f2b" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read".
        Edit: I tried this on a recently rebuilt Vista laptop and I'm getting the same error. The wav plays just fine in a variety of players.

          Install the dMC DSP effects (in the beta forum) and try using the Channel Count DSP to force the channels to 1. Also, use the Resample DSP.

              Try different compression settings.

                Re: OutputThisBlock Error while converting to WMA9 Voice

                Assuming that the compression options are things like Codec, Settings, Target, ect. After I have chosen WMA 10 as Converting to, then Windows Media Audio Voice 9 as the Codec. I have tried all sorts of different options for settings and tried matching them with the dsp effects and I am still getting the exact same error. This may be a vista problem as I have always previously used dbpoweramp on xp and only recently moved to vista.
