'what you hear' input using Aux

I had ver 4 of DMC and I used the Auxillery Input extensively. I upgraded my system and I updated my version of DMC to r11.

When I select the input option, I used to get a 'what you hear', is this a sound card specific function. ?

I have a built-in AC'97. The new mother board is an ASUS P5B.

Yes. If I recall correctly this is used by some sound cards to refer to what is described as "Wave" or "Stereo Mix" on other sound cards.
