dMC 12 Registered Crashes on Install

On Install I get an error from the 16-bit MS-DOS subsystem.

NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction
    CS:0e42 IP:0348 OP: da fc f3 a4 07

I get the same error from Sveta.

BTW: Running Windows XP Pro with SP2.

It looks like a low level device driver. No part of dbpoweramp is 16bit.

Suggestions Spoon? This is as soon as I run it. Perhaps I need to unpack the executable. . . . *ponder*

Nevermind, it appears the download was not done correctly. . . as it didn't download the executables, but called them such. I'll correct that an try again.

Apparently the link retrieve doesn't work well with Firefox, and the IE Tab option doesn't behave correctly on download. So unless you've got a way to reset the download retrieve I guess I'll do without dMC while traveling--it says I've used my license too many times this week.

How is the link retrieval not working for you in Firefox? It works in Firefox just fine for me. What firewall or other security software are you running? Sometimes, these programs are a little over zealous and interfere with this operation.

Checkpoint Integrity Flex, which I shutoff.

For whatever reason Firefox downloads not the executables, but text file containing a 401 error. This despite being authed just fine.

So I tried in opening in IE Tab it just displayed the executable (the contents of) directly in the window.

So when I finally got around to trying it in straight IE, it says I've used my license too many times this week.

Our Exes are digitally signed, you can check on properties if the digital signature (and file are downloaded without error).

The system will allow you to download again next week.
