Just use FooBar to replace "Rip as One"

    First off,

Why the heck did spoon remove the feature? Makes no friggin sense to me.

However, until it is back. Just rip the entire CD to .wav and then browse to the directory you ripped the .wav files to and highlight all the files and then right click and select "Enqueue in Foobar". Once Foobar loads CTRL+A to highlight all the files, and then right click again and select Convert/Convert to Single File

    Simple as that.

If you're a Winamp user, you can also use the Nullsoft Disk Writer plugin to rip to a single file directly from a CD. For single file ripping, the only output format option is wav.

You just choose the disk writer as your output plugin from the Preferences interface, configure it the way you want, and start playing the CD in Winamp. It won't be as fast as a normal rip directly from a CD, but should be better than 1X anyway.

OK, so what are you gonna do with the foobar conversion without a cue file?

And the winamp rip isn't secure.

You can still use EAC to make the cue if you want one. I can assure you that the files ripped using dBpA are bit-for-bit identical to those ripped with EAC [all things being equal].

Thanks for this tricksta . Rip as One, was one of the reasons I purchased dMC in the first place (apparently it'll be back in r13).

Btw your method works with mp3 files (& possibly other formats) too - not just wav files. G
