Ripping error - doesn't like any CDs

I've reinstalled dbPoweramp now that I'm running XP in Parallels Desktop on my iMac - basically Windows XP runs in a window and you can seemlessly switch between Mac and Windows (fantastic stuff).

However, I get this message when I use CD ripper or Music Converter.

Apologies if there is a blindingly obvious solution. I didn't have any trouble when running Windows XP when using a dual boot system under Apple's own Bootcamp beta (Mac keyboard drivers are installed)

    Thanks!

It probably has something to do with how the virtualization intercepts the Windows and dMC CD requests/traffic and translates them to OSX and vice versa. You might have better results if you switch to the "Windows Built-In" communication set in the CD-ROM section of the options for the CD ripper. However, this may not work either.

Hmmm. It would be a shame it if does not work.

Can you point me to Windows Built-in though so I can try it, please?

All I can see is D: [PRL -Virtual CD-Rom ]

It is pointing to D: because C: is a FAT32 partition on the iMac HD with my Bootcamp installation of Windows. Perhaps this is the problem... It pics up the track details fine, however.

Look in that section for "Communication Set". It defaults to "SCSI Pass-Through (SPT)" I believe. It is under the "Read into Lead-In/Lead-Out" checkbox and above the auto-run checkbox.
