my laptop won't do WMA conversion

    i have an ECS W330D Pentium M 1.6/Intel 915G mobo/256mb/40gb HD.

when i installed dbpoweramp 12 beta before with the WMAPRO10, everything works fine with my WMA 9.1 Quality 10 conversion for my mp3 player.

problem starts when i downloaded the db 12 and uninstalled db12 beta and installed the reference version, wma codec in db 12 can't be modified. everything grays out. but with other codecs, i can see the options.

i uninstall and reinstall db 12 ref and wma10pro and gets the same results, of course, after rebooting the comp.

the only solution i did is to reinstall windows and every applications again. aaargh! the nightmare!

now, everything grays out again when i updated my K-Lite MEGA CODEC at www.codecguide.com to v165.

is there a conflict with the k-lite and wma10pro codec?

because this only happens with my laptop. but with my home computer (AMD X2 3600+,EPOX MF4+ Ultra-3,512mb DDR2 GEIL DUAL,160gb SATA2 config, everything works fine. even if i update my mega codec and reinstall dbpoweramp.

    help please! :(

It is greyed because it is not installed, if you click on it, dBpoweramp will offer to install the WMA codec, or go here:

I have the same problem... I can not select convert to WMA. It is greyed out. Have installed the codec from dbp website several times - always says successful - but no change. Would also like to have the WMA9 codecs like I use to have. What's going on??? Any help?

Have you recently upgraded to 64 bit dBpoweramp R15?
