Computer Freezes when ripping to mp3(lame)

Hi I hope someone can help this newbie out. I have just downloaded and installed this nice program.

Here is my problem. When I try to rip a CD to mp3, my computer seems to just freeze up. But when I try to rip the CD to wma v8 it rips the music with out any problem.

After I do the rip to wma v8 then I can convert to mp3. This of course is all being done using dbpowerAMP. This is a long workaround though to get my music to mp3's.

Can someone tell me why dBpowerAMP will rip my cd's to wma v8 but it freezes when ripping mp3's(lame)

you are lowering the quality by doing that. try with a seperate lame.exe and see if that freezes. or maybe replacing the .dll in dbpoweramp\compression. mitiok.cjb.net

I followed -=raTTan=- advise and downloaded and replaced the lame.dll file in the compression folder and all seems to work very good now.

I'm not sure what might have been wrong but I just tried ripping a cd to mp3 and it worked well.
