When ripping into any format (including Test Conversion), the process stops at 99% of each track until closing manually CoreConverter.exe, while time counting goes on. I use Windows 98SE.

Did you apply the System updates as stated on this page: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/Windows95-Update.htm
Also, normally a hang at 99% indicates a problem with tagging. What is your input file and what are its specs, such as frequency, bitrate, channels, etc? -

Test conversion should not do anything with id tags. If a stdio pipe blocks then it can 100%, try this - rip 1 track to wave and see what the size of the wave file is when coreconverter is closed (compare to the estimated file size shown in the cd ripper).Comment

It's wizz: now encoding blocks at the beginning (0%) just after ripping. Therefore the file is 0kb.Comment
