      Re: Converting Audio Error message

I'm on Windows XP. I'm using the dBamp 12 audio converter. I need to convert a WMA file to a mp3 with a 16 bit bitrate? Just tell me what to do. I can convert it to other bitrates(larger). The SermonAudio site told me to buy this audio converter, but that site only allows 16 bitrate? Any help would be MUCH appeciated.

      Thanks.

        Re: Converting Audio Error message

If you'll notice, if you select 16kbps, it says only "8, 11, 12, 16, 22, and 24 KHz" frequencies are available. So try clicking "Advanced" and change the frequency to 22 KHz. You should also probably download and install the DSP effects (here: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=12210) and use the "Resample" effect and set it to 22KHz.

          Re: Converting Audio Error message

I tried every frequency- 8, 11, 12, 16, 22, and 24 KHz and downloaded the "resampler". I never had this problem with the 11.5 version, when I demoed that. Do I have access to that through the 12?

By the way, it's the same error message every time.

              Re: Converting Audio Error message

What are the specs for your WMA file, such as bitrate, frequency, channels, etc?
To make sure that dMC can correctly read your file, select "Test Conversion" as your codec and see if an error message comes up. If an error is displayed, then dMC cannot read your file for whatever reason.

                Re: Converting Audio Error message

                The WMA file info-
                size: 14.67 MB
                channels: 2 (stereo)
                sample rate: 44.1 kHz
                sample size: 16 bit
                bit rate: 64 kbps

The test conversion didn't have any problems.
