Are you using a PowerPack or Reference registered version or trial? You have to use either a registered version or trial to encode to mp3.

      I'm using a registered version.

What file type are you trying to convert from? What is its settings (bits, bitrate, channels, frequency) and where did it come from? What mp3 settings are you using?

I tried converting from all possible file types (WAV, ACC, WMA) using all possible settings. The same error every time.

Tried this. Did not work. I have confirmed that I only have this problem when I try to convert to "mono".

Have you tried using the "Channel Count" DSP?

I have no idea how to do this. But converting to an MP3 mono file does not work. It is a bug, please confirm.

As long as you have the PowerPack or above, click the "Add" button on the bottom of the codec selection window. If you haven't already installed the DSP effects, get them here: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dbpoweramp-dsp.htm. You can then use a "Channel Count" DSP to reduce the channels to mono when you convert.
