What happened to old features like Auxiliary Input, Rip as One, and Lame Presets???

I really like the new interface, but what happened to at least 3 of the main features that I depend on a lot?

    Auxiliary Input recording

    Rip as One

and the Lame Presets like Alt-Preset etc???

Will any of these be brought back in Release 13? and when is this release due?

    thanks in advance.

As for Auxiliary Input, it hasn't been ported to r13 yet, but will be eventually.

R13 is probably a year or more away.

Alt presets are very outdated and dead, they will not be coming back, although -v equivalents exist.

LtData, I have the registered version of R12 and and unregistered version of r11.5 in different directories as recommended but I still am unable to use the axillary input. It keeps telling me that I need to register. I use to have the registered copy of the previous powerpak but lost it all in HD crash. I really miss that particular function. Currently using Audacity for that function. Any suggestions?. WM

Are you trying to convert the output file to mp3 with Aux Input? If so, set the output to a WAV file, as this is normally a good idea anyway.

Re: What happened to old features like Auxiliary Input, Rip as One, and Lame Presets?

I have a new problem. Using axillary input with r11.5, I cannot edit the id tag. It gives me a "need to register message". So I removed r11.5 and am just using r12. I use audacity to record throu my axillary input but when I try to edit the id tag, I enter the genry information but it does not appear to stick when I am finished inputting all the info. As a matter of fact, right clicking on edit id tag gives me a blank screen and I have to manually add title, artist, etc where before with the r11.5, I would get a screen full of items that I could fill in. what am I doing wrong?

What filetypes is it doing this on? Do you have the dMC codec installed for that filetype?

I is a .wav file. With r12 I can convert to mp3 w/o problems. It's just using the edit id tag with either the wav or mp3 that gives me problems. I am able to enter artist, title, album, etc, but for some reason genry does not seem to stick.

First, WAV files normally don't have tags, but dMC r12 does support tagging WAV files. This is why your converted mp3 files don't have tags, since the beginning WAV files didn't start with tags.

As for genre not sticking, is this in mp3 or WAV? Did you type in your own Genre or pick from the list?

I am using jazz as my genry. I am not getting any lists. I have to add everything manually. This happens with both wav and mp3. Previously with v11.5 I would automatically get a list of title/artist/album/composer/year/genry/ etc and I would just fill in which ever one I needed. With v12 I am having to input all the above.

In dMC r12, there are no default fields, you add the ones you need. It is a little odd to get used to, agreed.
