Columns in Ripper toggled by Compilation flag?

I'm looking at the columns in the cd ripper and I wanted to see the Comments column. So I right-click on the Columns and I get the Columns menu; I select Comments and close the menu. That column doesn't appear. I put down the menu and see that field is checked?? Actually there a quite a few fields checked without corresponding columns being displayed...
Later I click in the Compilations check-box and suddenly all those missing columns appear!

Is this as it should be?

The Artist, Album, Year, and some other fields are shown at the top of the window. Basically, highlight all of the songs you want and type the Comment in the comment box just past the "Album Artist" and "Composer" fields.

The problem with the fields at the top, is they disappear when your ripping.

I thought this might be a bug...but the way LtData breezed right over it, it must not be. So now I've got to ask - What is the reasoning behind toggling those fields for Compilations?

        And I agree with Teknojky...

They only show (automatically) if it is a compilation cd.

OK, how can they be manually be shown while ripping?

I'd really like to see the Comment field in both compilations and non-compilations.
