Contradictory information on whether drive supports C2

As I set up the CD Ripper's secure settings, I tested my drive's C2 Error Pointers for Error Detection using the Detect C2 Support function.

It let me know that the drive supports ripping with C2. By chance, though, I later happened to check the "[Technical]" details on the CD ROM that are accessible in the dBpowerAMP Ripper Options, and it shows that the drive does NOT support C2.

I'm hoping that if the test confirms it, the drive has it -- that there's no chance of a false positive, but can anyone confirm that for me?

Try to detect it using a cd with no sratches, it should detect no c2. Then try a scratched cd, it should detect c2.
