Hello,

I just downloaded The registered version of dbpoweramp. dbpoweramp crashed when I tried to convert a 44khz WAV Stereo file to a 44Khz LAME at 40kbps mono file. I was also unable to lower the sampling rate. Things worked fine when I maintained the sampling rate and maintained stereo. Please let me know what the problem may be. Thanks.

The file I downloaded is dMC-r12-Registered.exe

dMC r12 uses a DSP effect to change the sampling rate.

For mp3, the channels are under "Advanced". Also, changing the frequency is under Advanced, but I think better results are obtained when using the Resample DSP.

Ok, thanks for your input. This is not a performance issue, but the application is crashing.

After you try to do the conversion? You are trying to both change the frequency and channels? Try making a 44KHz mono WAV and then converting that to a whatever-frequency mono mp3.

It crashes even when I convert to Mono while maintaining the Sample Rate. I just tried it again. It says: CoreConverter.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close...

If you convert it to a stereo mp3 file it works ok?

It works fine when I convert to stereo mp3, without changing the sampling rate. When I try to convert to stereo mp3 with a change in sampling rate through advance, I get the message: "Error converting to mp3 lame..." When I convert to mono mp3, and maintain the 44.1 khz sampling rate, the application crashes. My file seems fine, since the frustration I tried the conversion with GoldWav, and the results were good.

If you convert it to a stereo mp3 file it works ok?
