My Upgrade to R12-Registered Loses Powerpack?

    Hello,

I uninstalled my R11.5, and attempted to install my R12-Registered I pulled down from the link after I put in my order code.

Unfortunately, it now reports itself as a brand new installation, without PowerPack etc.... I tried to run, ReactivatePP, but that complained as well that it can only be run once or something like that.

I think there should be a clearly defined and documented link on how to simply upgrade without messing with the license. I would think a clean install of my registered copy should be enough to get it working?

Any help would be greatly appreciated in getting R12 up and running with PP.

    Regards

    JimT

I believe the strategy is to:
    1. Uninstall dMC r11.5 and all codecs, unless you need them for Aux. Input, Sveta, or dCW
    2. Reboot
    3. Install the dMC r12 Registered installation
    4. Reboot (if necessary)

    Does this work?

      Hi Thanks for your reply.

This is what I did the frist time. After R12 installs it asks me if I want a 30 day trial of PP and offers me a link to register my copy. Isn't the registered installer/binary suppose to be just that...why would it ask me to re-register?

      Any other ideas?

      Thanks very much

Well after running the R12 installer it does ask me if I want the PP trial etc... When I said "yes" this time.....the config comes up "registered" for PP. Perhaps it is just the installer that needs a little cleaning up to actually detect correctly that this was a registered version that was installed ?

Looks much better than R11.5, BTW!

Rip to RAM is enabled by default if you have the PowerPack.

Yes Rip to Ram is done by default now, it is the best way to rip.
