    Registration

I have version 11 and can't find my license information. It does not show up in the configuration window so that I can find it.

Where would this information be found?

How do I install other encoder codex beyond the defaults? They do not seem to take.

    Re: Registration

If you go to your dMC Configuration (Start> All Programs> dBpoweramp Music Converter> Configuration> dMC Configuration) the first page should show confirmation of what version of dMC you are using and whether it is recognized as being registered or not. You will not see any registration or license number. It is found in the Versions tab in the top section (Version Information) on the second line (Power Pack and Mp3 License). This should show whether you have a registered version, active trial version, expired version or no version of the Power Pack. If dMC Configuration shows a registered version or an active trial version of the Power Pack, then if you go to upgrade to a later version of dMC, your registration should be automatically recognized.

Please note that there is no registration for dMC apart from the registration for the Power Pack (here I am referring specifically to dMC r 11.5 or earlier, there will be an extra "Reference" version of dMC 12 which adds an extra wrinkle for dMC 12).

If you have paid for a registered version of the Power Pack and installed it but it does not show up in dMC Configuration, you could try re-installing the installtion files if you have saved them. Otherwise, please read and follow the instructions in the Announcement at the top of the dMC Support forum section dealing with this topic.

Codecs for dMC 11.5 or earlier can be found in Codec Central. Each needs to be downloaded and installed. The codecs for dMC r12 will NOT work for dMC 11.5 or earlier. The codecs for dMC 11.5 or earlier will NOT work with dMC 12. If you have tried different dMC 12 codecs with dMC 12 and you are reverting to dMC 11.5 or earlier, you should uninstall your dMC r12 codecs.

    Hope this helps.

    Best wishes,
    Bill

Upgrade Power Pack & mp3 License to dBpoweramp Reference

      Bill>
I have a paid-for and registered version of Power Pack running in R12 of DB. I want to achieve this: Upgrade Power Pack & mp3 License to dBpoweramp Reference. I find this link under "Renew Access" in the "All Media Guide". Apparently my access is expired.
When I click on the link for "Upgrade Power Pack & mp3 License to dBpoweramp Reference", I am asked for my "Power Pack & mp3 encoder License" numbers. I have no idea where to find them. Any clues?
      Thanks for your help
      Tom

This reply has been a long time in the making... sorry for the inconsistency!!
The answer is, no I'm sorry I don't have the original receipt email. All kinds of mayhem when you get an unbacked-up hard drive crash out. I'm way more organized now! If you could get me what I need to be where I was before, that would be super-fantastic.

          Word!
