Error - decoded data is not block aligned

I'm trying to convert from aif to mp3 (lame) and keep getting the error "decoded data is not block aligned". Also, my tags are lost in conversion despite the fact that I have "preserve id tags" box checked. I need my tags to show up in my mp3's.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This doesn't tell me how to fix the problem.

No, because there isn't really a way to fix the problem. What the error means is that your file is apparently corrupted. You might want to try to get a new copy of the file and see if you still get the error.
