    Questions on the converter

I have been searching for a file converter capable of converting ogg files to mp3 and mp3pro and discovered this application. I have some questions though and am wondering if someone can help answer them for me.

First, I have a codec for mp3pro, can I use the converter then to convert to mp3pro?

Second, I program in VB .NEt and have looked at the sample, I see that there is a license or soemthing required before I can build a small application to convert the files using the converter and .net? This program I want is strictly for my personal use and will not be given or sold to anyone. What do I need to do to get the license to create the application?

third, what do I need to purchase and download and where can I download the files necessary besides the license to create and an application to run the command line converter util?

    Thank you for your assitance.

    Re: Questions on the converter

First, all of the examples are for the new dMC r12 version, which is still in beta and not yet released. I think dMC r12 requires a license for scripting because it is not a feature used by most people and requires some advanced knowledge. See here for the discussion of pricing for the new dMC r12 packages: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=11584

Second, Command-line options are listed in the dMC r12 download thread, linked to below. Note that dMC r11.5 has no command-line options and can only be scripited.

If your codec is a .exe and has command-line options, you can use the CLI Encoder or "Generic CLI" codec to encode to mp3PRO.

It will be a Reference License and can be purchased in January.
