AAC to MP3

I've trid to convert AAC to MP3 but there is no selection for AAC format. Is there an upgrade that I can download? I would also like to convert all my 1000 of Mini-disc songs (ATRACT) to mp3. If DMC can't do it, does anyone know of any other Auio converter that can convert every known audio files from one format to the other? Basically, it must be a swiss army knife concept. If there is, I will purchase it.

You have to download and install the AAC codec into dMC. Note that the codec requires you to download an additional file. The link is in the help file for the codec.
