ringtone help

i recently purchased software for making ringotnes and such. i used the music converter to convert my songs to a wav. i have motorola- iden java application loader and it wont transfer the wav to my phone. if anyone has any suggestions, can you please infrom me of them. thanks

What type of file does your phone need to make a ringtone? What specifications does the file need to have, such as channels, bits, frequency?
