What bitrate and frequency are you ripping to for your mp3s?

I followed directions I read on previous post because I kept getting the codec required error when I follow the musicrelay instructions.

So you have ripped files to standard PCM wave, 16 bit, 2 channel, 44.1 kHz.
          These, I assume, sound OK.
You are trying to convert them to mp3 and are not pleased with the quality of the mp3 files you are getting. What settings are you using for the mp3 files you are trying to create from wave? If you are using the "phone" preset, that could well be your problem as that is very low quality. What are the specifications you need to use for your mp3 files for what you want to do? Please specify bits, bitrate, channels, and frequency.

          Best wishes,
          Bill
