Any way to normalize without bitrate change?

    Hi,

I want to normalize all my MP3 files' volumes, but when I select a bunch of items and check the Normalize Volume box, there is no option to keep all the files at their current bitrates.

I don't want to lower bitrate on files I have that have higher bitrates to prevent loss of quality, and there's no sense in raising bitrates on files that are small anyway since it will only increase file sizes without any gain in quality (or am I wrong on this).

So is there any way to normalize the volumes of a bunch of MP3 files of different bitrates without changing the bitrates?

Thanks for any help you can provide,
    Gargamel

If you load them into my audio player (dAP) - you can sort on bitrate and do them in chunks of existing bitrate.

But there's no way to just do them all at their current bitrate?

No, because bitrate can mean nothing when encoded with presets, or if they are VBR or ABR.
