    MPEG Suite 2000 CLI???

I had a big disk crash and am reinstalling software. I like using codec.exe from the MPEG Suite 2000 package since it's very fast. However, I can no longer find the Mpeg Suite 2000 CLI encoder previously available at Codec Central. I realize that I can simply use the Generic CLI encoder, but the Mpeg Suite 2000 CLI nicely allowed for the selection of the bitrate and stereo/mono without having to remember the obscure command line options.

So, any idea what happened to it? Thanks!

Pretty much disapeared, we have the new Helix mp3 encoder (in beta) which should be faster.

      Re: MPEG Suite 2000 CLI???

Just in case anyone else is interested, I found an old backup that had the Mpeg Suite 2000 CLI. I discovered that it was simply using the Generic CLI "codec" (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-generic-cli.htm). So all you need to do is follow the documentation and create a "new" Generic CLI for "Mpeg Suite 2000 CLI". This will create a new "Mpeg Suite 2000 CLI.dll" file as well as a new folder in "Compression". Next, edit the file at "Compression\Mpeg Suite 2000 CLI\options.txt" and type the following:

      [Codec]
      .mp3
      C:\codec.exe

      [CLIString]

      [InFile]

      [CLIString]

      [OutFile]

You'll still need to click the "Locate Encoder" button since "C:\codec.exe" above appears to be ignored. However, now I have it working just like it used to!!!

Actually, it just automatically prompts for the location by default.
