    Getting started

I downloaded the trial version yesterday and evidently selected the wrong pack, without mp3 support, because it wouldn't convert flac to mp3. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, thinking that it would again give me the option to choose what I wanted for the 30 day trial, but no go. Is there a way for me to start this process over from scratch?

I'd really like to test the program out, as suggested on the website, before I go ahead and make the purchase. Thanks for your help.

    Re: Getting started

MP3 encoding is linked to having either a registered version or a valid trial. You have never installed dMC or the PowerPack before and it says your trial is expired? If you have never installed the PowerPack before and it says your trial is expired, there is a fix that we can give you to correct this.

      Re: Getting started

I never installed the version with mp3 capability. I did install the other option/version last night. When I tried to convert flac to mp3 it started but then 20-30% into the conversion it said something about not having mp3 capability or whatever. Then I realized that I had chosen the wrong pack or version/option, so to speak. (you know the 2 lists side/side with the check marks etc. as to what version you want with/without mp3) So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, using the same .exe file that I downloaded. When I tried to run it again today, a window came up with a lot of info and I noticed that the mp3 info said "trial expired".

I know this sounds like I'm trying to get another 30 days free but that's not the case. I was thinking that I made the decision as to which version I wanted when I installed it but now I'm thinking that, that decision was made before I downloaded it. What if I download the correct version from the site which included the mp3 capability and installed that. Would that work?

I appreciate your help Lt Data. Thanks

There's only one version of dMC available for download and it always includes the mp3 capability. Check your Private Message for a fix.

The list of check-boxes you are mentioning sound like Winamp, not dMC.
