I cannot get the program r9, to open the codec. Here is my error message
"The CODEC required to compress 'D:\VIDEOS\Capture\atp masters fri1018-1000(TV35).mp3.TEMP.mp3' could not be opened."
This is no matter what codec I choose. I am trying to compress audio attached to video. In other words it's big. I am capturing video and compressing audio later to save CPU cycles. Some of the .wav files I'm trying to convert are about 1.5 gb. It is plain PCM wav. I've been able to compress this size and type of wave with musicmatch.
It converts mp3 to wma, but not wav to mp3 at a large size or at a small size. Is PCM a plain uncompressed wav? Or is this even the issue? I have an old copy producer proffesional that I bought a few years ago that doesn't want to compress this either. Is this the problem, or is it something else?
I am using windows XP on a pretty beefy machine. What's up?
Regards, Clyde
