    wma 9 messed up bitrate

    After converting an MP3 to WMA 9 using dbpoweramp the bitrate shows up as 10000kbps instead of the proper bitrate. When I convert using Windows Encoder I get the proper bitrate of 140 kbps.

    Bug?

    It is, but I don't think it is in my side of things. You can workout a bitrate for a file by:

    Bitrate = (Filesize * 8) / Length in Seconds

      Ick, thats not a good solution. Funny that the MS Encoder does this fine.

        Just tried a conversion using Easy CD-DA Extractor 5.0 (to WMA 9) and it also writes the correct bitrate to the wma file.
