Q. Keeps crashing

I'm simply trying to convert an AAC file to 48000hz mp3 or wave because i'm having dvd audio issues and every time I try to convert the file it crashes. I've downloaded the codec pack and don't know what I'm missing. Please help and Thanks.

If it is crashing, it suggests the audio file is corrupted.
