Trying to convert mp3 -> m4a but can't set quality..

So I can't find the mp3 -> ACC or MP4 from the drop down menu. I can convert to m4a but it doesn't give me the option to comrpess it and I end up with a 3.5MB 30 second clip. Basically, can anyone guide me through the steps to get a 30s mp3 file converted to a small (~300kb) m4a file to upload to my phone.

Did you select mp4 or ALAC (Apple Lossless)? Also, did you follow the instructions in the help file and download the Nero encoder file?
