    iTunes Codec replaced?

I have a library in FLAC that I frequent convert to m4a for iPod use. I have generally used the "iTunes codec" to execute that conversion, which has been very effective and quick.

I recently purchased a new computer and have been getting set up with all my usual utilities. I noticed when I was loading DBPoweramp that there is no longer a iTunes codec in the codec page. I used what I assumed to be a replacement/augmentation--m4a codec. I have found that it works, but not as well as the iTunes codec did. I am having some files that simply don't convert.

Is there still an iTunes codec I can use? Is there an obvious mistake I am making with the m4a codec? Or should I be using an altogether different codec.

    Thanks!

The Nero mp4/m4a codec replaced the former list of m4a/mp4 encoders, including the FAAC and iTunes codecs.

As for the files that don't convert, can you convert to them to a format other than mp4/m4a? I ask this to try to determine if the problem lies with dMC itself or with the codec.

Good point. Actually, the files convert to other formats, and I can convert them to m4a on a second try. I just get a couple failures in each large (one full length concert) batch.
