can't compress some flacs

I'm trying to compress a specific album from flac to lame APX mp3. For all of the files on the album, it says the flac codec cannot be opened to compress these. I compressed a flac album the other day and it worked fine.

What could be the problem? Bad flac files? (they play perfectly in winamp) Anything else? Any known fixes?

I have the latest official FLAC codec installed from the dMC codec page.

Try R12 (in the beta section of this forum), also install the flac codec in the same thread.
