    Re: M3U audio playlist

I figured out how to do this!! Yes! Thanks to Christina. Here's what I did....

    1. I saved the streaming audio file to my desktop.
    2. I then opened the file in my notepad.
    3. I copy, cut, and pasted the individual songs (http://whateveryoursongis.mp3) to the address box.
    4. Once I found the individual song XP asked how I wanted to open it. I chose to open it in Itunes.
    5. Then I just dragged the song from my itunes library to my ipod.

I didn't really need dbpowerAMP Music Converter to do this at all. Although if it wasn't for the forum here I'd still be out in the cold.

Ah, but you might have needed dMC if you wanted to convert those mp3's to somethign else

Or if they hadn't been mp3's but rather some other format.

:smile2: Ok you have a good point there...i was lucky.
I have one last problem. Every time I paste the individual links in the address box, the audio files open up in Quicktime. XP won't give me the option to open them in itunes. I've tried messing with the options in Quicktime to stop this, but with no luck. I even went as far as uninstalling Quicktime. This worked and I was able to save the mp3 file on my desktop, but since itunes relies on quicktime I had to reinstall it. I guess my question is...How do I keep Quicktime and configure it so it won't open and play thes files?

          Re: M3U audio playlist

You configure WMP to open mp3 by default

This will kick out of Quicktime that option.

It's the media players war. Whichever is the last one to grap an extension gets to keep it.

But I'll give you a better trick.

Send yourself an email and put in the full link to that mp3 on the web. When your receive the email in Outlook Express, right click the link, and pick Save Target As.

:komisch9: Thanks Christina! I thought I had a pretty complex task on my hand here. I made WMA the default player and I have no problems...for now that is. Thanks for your help! I hope this help some other people as well.
