ID TaG problems

Ok so here's the problem. I convert everything is fine. As soon as i change 1 thing in ID tag. The tag is corrupt showing up as ybS or Ybk characters like that. In order to get it back i have to convert again and it's fine. But as soon as i change 1 character in the id tag it doesn't read right. Anyone have a solution?

What audio format are you using, which type of tags (if mp3)?
