mp3 to aac

when i open the folder to convert it to aac, it says it finishes it but then when i send it to my phone it makes no sound. it used to work on my phone but now that i got the upgraded version of dbpoweramp it doesnt work... what do i do?

Before sending to your phone, can the aac file be played on your pc?
