Help! The first track never rips

everytime i try and rip a CD whether it be in lame, flac, wav, whatever the first track always error out. The rest of the tracks rip but never the first one. This is the error i get:

CODEC decompression error for '\\CdRom\Track01.cda'
Unable to Rip track - make sure correct Ripping method is selected and CD Drive supports digital audio extraction.

Any ideas?

Is this with all of your CDs or just some of them?

its happened on 4 of the 5 CD's i've tried to rip.

What are the names of the CDs?

I had a similar issue on one of my old machines. If you set the CD Spin-up time to something, maybe 5/10 seconds or so this will help you out I think.

Click the Options button in Audio CD Input and click on the "0" beside "Spinup for (sec)" and try values such as 5-10 seconds.

Or perhaps the file naming has been set wrong - click Options (in CD Input) and change File Naming to something like [artist] - [title]
