I recently tagged a bunch of my Flacs to archive then on DVDR
one of the main reasons I purchased dbPowerAMP was for the audio file conversion and maintain ID tags.
when I created my MP3s, only part of the ID tags display in winamp, windows media player, or itunes; but when I right click on the audio file all of the original ID tag info is there. In all 3 of the media players Genre stays blank and the other tags are all cut short.
Originally I thought maybe these players will only display a certain number of characters, BUT in windows media player I edited one of the tags, then reopened the same mp3 in itunes and the change to the tag reappeared.
Also if I retype (or change) the info (which is longer than the current # of characters) it will display completely in all 3 players, yet when I right click the mp3 the original dbPoweramp info stays the same........
why won't all of the original tag info I typed into the FLAC just transfer in the first place??
FYI
in the dbPowerAMP popup it says my FLACs are Vorbis comment
and MP3 are APE v2 & ID3v1
