    Extension: MPX
    Program and/or Extension Function :
    RCA/Lyra Handheld MP3 Player File

    Specific Notes :
This is a secure MP3 format that only plays in this player. Different versions of the player may use .MPY files instead.

Check the RCA website for documentation.

Thanks for your help! But the MPX file format what i look for is consist of audio frequncy flow and moving image, and some software like MPX Make can compress the window media and Mpeg and Quick time file and avi file to MPX file, and the MPX file can be played in some digital players like PMP.But i don't know the detail of it's format, can you or any one else tell me more about it's format? Thanks!

        Re: Help!MPX file format

I can only imagine that this format is closed. Ie: none of us here are going to know how that format works because the specifications will only be available to the in-house developers at Lyra. If you can't find information on the Lyra website, you're probably not going to find any.

Unless of course someone out there has reverse engineered the format, which I doubt. It's probably not popular enough.
