aiff: codec vs. directshow

converting from aif/aiff to wav via codec results in shorter length files and sometimes gives errors (smth concerning "alining blocks"). there's no such problems when doing the same via directshow, but its considerably slower :(

Be VERY careful using "delete source." If your converted files aren't converted properly, you lose the good original. A better idea is to convert the files, make sure they all converted properly, and THEN delete the originals.

Anyway, what are the specifications of your aiff input files and the settings for your WAV output files? The default setting for most files is 44100Hz, 2 channel, and for WAV is 16-bit.
