DMC Audio Input Nero AAC. Files don't playback

I have the beta the MP4 codec pack, and have installed the Nero AAC files downloaded from Nero per instructions here. When I use the DMC Audio Input program to RIP CDs and RIP to Nero (using these settings), I end up with files that I can't playback on my PC using either latest WinAMP or WMP with 3ivx Decoder. Output files are not zero byte.

If I RIP the same CD from WinAMP's MP4/LC-AAC Encoder, then the files play back. Also if I used Nero 7 "Save Tracks" app and the built-in HE-AAC encoder, the files are properly created.

I would love to continue using DMC, anyone have any ideas on this?

Are the files encoded as LC or HE? Try checking the "Force LC" box and see if that helps.

I have tried both options and neither makes a difference.

I took an M4A file that I created with CLI and used DMC to convert it to .wav. This worked. I then took that .wav file and and tried to convert it to Nero AAC and then told it to write it the same folder, nothing was written. Tried writing to another folder, nothing written. I tried same original file, and converted using MP3 output, and everything was OK.

I checked Windows event long from the last time I'd worked with this, and this error is in there:

Re: DMC Audio Input Nero AAC. Files don't playback

What are the specifications of your WAV file? The default specifications are 16-bit, 44.1KHz (44100Hz), stereo.

Try moving your file to the root (C:\) directory and then try converting it. Sometimes conversions fail when the path to the file is too long.

Also, you are doing the conversion on a drive that is in the computer, not a networked drive, correct?

Also, moved to dMC Support as this codec is now out of beta.
