MP3 LAME Not Writing Tags All The Time?

Hello, Newbie here trying out Music Convertor 11.5, with a view to registering... have searched here quickly and can find no reference to similar problems, which has me scratching my head.

I'm trying to rip to mp3 using the CD Input application. What I'm finding is that it is seemingly working fine, except that seemingly randomly, the mp3 ID Tag info is not being written into certain extracted tracks. If I rip a whole disc, sometimes only 2-3 out of the 8-9 tracks will have Tag info embedded. the rest will rip OK, but the Tag fields will be blank!

If I do the same disc again, I'll get different tracks that are OK...

Have tried various combos of options, with no effect...

This is driving me nuts :-)

I was just about the fork over the money for the Powerpack etc, but this is putting me off...

    Any suggestions?

Hold the mouse over the file, it could be writing an ID3v2 tag which your other player / software cannot read?

I've tried the "faulty" files in a couple of places, both in iTunes and also my Roku SoundBridge...

Also, if I right click the file and look at the "Edit Tag" (installed by dBpowerAMP) there is nothing there in Artist, Title, Album etc locations for the faulty files. But SOME files are OK... and it doesn't seem to be repeatable even for the same CD ripped twice...

      Got me stumped!

Using dbpoweramps built in mp3 lame encoder? (rather than a command line version)?
