program shortens files on conversion

Hi-

I'm converting wav to flac. Example of problem: source wav file is 3:07; after conversion to flac the file is 3:01 and the last few seconds have disappeared. this happens repeatedly on different files.

Could it be connected to the fact that the wav files were once part of a longer file?

Any ideas how solve this?

Depending how you split it, the file might not be written correctly, try converting wave to wave (in a different folder), that will tell you if dbpoweramp is able to read the wave file.
