    really slow ripping

After registering for the mp3 encoding, the software is now ripping REALLY slowly. I am using the same settings as before, very high quality/256. Now it says it will take 37 minutes to encode?!?!? Prior to registering it didnt take that long, so why is taking that long now? I have 2 gig of ram in this machine and it's a dual processor...it shouldnt take that long to encode. The only thing I can think of is that the system uses dvd/cd hardware and it doesnt read anywhere near as fast as straight cd readers, but it still didnt take that long prior to registering. It was really fast.

    Any ideas?

Your priority of conversion is set to Above normal or Normal. Below normal is better.

You might be actually asking for slow ripping in the options.

You might be applying some DSP effects.

Those may be different defaults after installing the registered version, and you may want to review and change any settings.

Click the PowerPack icon in CD Audio Input, and make sure "Rip to RAM" and "Rip & Encode at Same Time" are both checked.
