Registered version does not see CD

Great, the free version worked perfectly, and now that I paid $14 to register and the convertor does not even see the CD. It just says "Insert Audio CD" even after I hit refresh. I downloaded the registered version on top of the free one using the link I was sent, and it did not work. Then I uninstalled and downloaded using the registered link - no go. Then I downloaded the freeware on top of the registered version - it still doesn't work but it does say it is registered. I have the freedb set to us.freedb.org and have it set to retreive files. Like I said, the freeware was working great, then it expired. I have the mp3 lame file installed. I am runiing WIN XP SP 2. What gives?

Have you more than one drive on your system? If so make sure the correct one is selected. Under the CD Input click on the options button and edit the selection under CD Drive.

Your user account needs administrator access to read a cd drive.

Try clicking Options and next to the CD drive selection, click "Advanced". Try changing the Communication Option to "Windows Built-In (Limited)". If you do not see this as a choice, you need to upgrade to dMC r11.5
