If I use dBpowerAMP to convert long (1 hour) 44Khz 16Bit .wav files to MP3 format, the resulting file is always 2 or 3 seconds shorter than the original .wav file. If I convert the 44KHZ WAV file to an 48KHz MP3 file, then the length is correct, but it takes much longer to convert. Is this a common problem and maybe someone got a solution for this ?
