Cannot See Encoding speed in Conversion window

I am trying to convert several mp3 voice files from a bitrate of 64kbps to 32kbps using DMC. The conversion proceeds fine but the Encoding speed (7x,5x,etc) is not displayed in the Conversion window. Is there any setting to enable this ??

O/S : WinXP Pro
DMC version 11.5

It should auto show after a number of seconds, what is in its place?

there is nothing in its place -its blank

Uninstalled DMC and the re-installed -the problem seems to have been fixed.
